On Eternal "Probation" - Toward a Life of Real Freedom
"Try not to fear anybody, for judgment has a place with God." - Deuteronomy 1:17 (TNIV).
It's with a feeling of anxiety that a few of us live. We comprehend the importance and the end. It's not something to be inherently frightened of. It's essentially something that is a self-evident certainty; something to be borne as a top priority as we wander the adventure of physical and profound presence this side of huge time everlasting.
But at the same time, there's a blissful conundrum engaged with carrying on with this life of truth. While we live a sort of endless probation- - while we carry on with this genuine life- - we get the opportunity to appreciate the idea of forever, yet one with a rider and that rider is we should represent everything we do, in the end. What's more, this approves of us, since we comprehend we're responsible to a reasonable and just God who'll not just pass judgment on us decently, he'll clear us additionally, furnished we are situated with Christ as we enter his realm.
This is no 'fire and brimstone' message. It's essentially a reality for the spared individual, for example, one who's really and intentionally in Christ. He recovers us not just now, and since the time we chose to acknowledge his plentiful offer; he reclaims us in all and each reality after the physical passing. It's the 'now yet not yet' marvel, or part thereof.
It's grievous that the possibility of "probation" has a 'nearly censured' feel about it. This isn't what I need to pass on - this isn't the idea of salvation.
We're not on parole. We have a genuine, genuine opportunity - directly here, at the present time. However, we've likewise been called immediately to a higher, lovelier, holier, more pleasant standard. Finally, we're allowed to live as God constantly proposed us to live, without response to some other confounded (for us) feeling of power.
As our sole power and reasonable Judge, the Lord God- - through the Holy Spirit- - enables us to live without a solitary feeling of natural subjugation - if that is our will likewise; in case we're living deliberately in him. This is present.
We can likewise know now with complete security that when we're to be definitely made a decision by God in decency and in elegance (his 'unjustifiable support' toward us), record to him in the 'present time and place' is the mightiest gift - a genuine fortune.
